YMCA Preschool Enrichment classes provide socialization, healthy activities and fun for children ages 1 – 6. From Super Science to KinderCooking to Move with Me, children learn about the alphabet,
colors, numbers, shapes, movement, dance, music and more.
Younger children participate with a parent, while
older children take classes on their own. (A perfect
time for mom to join a free group exercise class!)
In Parent/Child classes, children learn songs and games while building
language and motor skills. Parent/child classes are intended for one child
and one parent or guardian. Parents should make arrangements for
older siblings and infants during classes. Children may not be left unattended
in the classroom or hallway areas. Child Watch is available.
Young children express feelings and ideas through movement and play. Using parachutes, musical instruments, obstacle courses, hula hoops, balls, beanbags and scooters, each class session will focus on a different activity while the songs stay familiar. For past participants, the instructor will vary their music and routine to keep it fun.
Dance classes teach children rhythm, creativity and fun for all. Classes range from pre-ballet classes to preschool gymnastics to cardio kids. Get your child’s heart pumping and body moving with Y dance classes!
There’s no limit to the fun children have in preschool specialty classes ranging from Kitchen Kapers to Days with Dinosaurs. With an emphasis on fun and creativity, children take part in hands on activities, games, sports, cooking and more.
YMCA Youth Sports use activities to teach sports skills to make it more exciting and fun for emerging athletes. Each program utilizes the YMCA’s seven principles: everyone plays, safety first, fair play, positive competition, family involvement, sports for all and sports for fun!
Kids Club is a progressive preschool program, offering age-appropriate activities that help children develop academically, grow socially, master skills, make friends and become comfortable in a class room setting. All the traditional preschool necessities are covered, with a focus on building strong character and life-long skills.
