YMCA OF METROPOLITAN MILWAUKEE

The YMCA was founded on a simple but powerful idea: by bringing neighbors together to advance the common good, we can improve lives and strengthen communities. Taking time to help others in the community by sharing your time, skills and passion can offer many of the following experiences and benefits:

  • It strengthens our community
  • It helps builds confidence
  • You can make new friends and acquaintances
  • You’ll gain valuable work experience
  • Youth will build character and leadership skills
  • You’ll be an advocate for the Y’s efforts

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for considering the YMCA as a place to donate your time and talents. Volunteers are vital to the Y. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to meet the needs of the kids, families, and adults who live in our community. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, please register through VolunteerMatters. From there, you’ll be able to view our Volunteer Project Catalog for one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities.

Our students enjoy volunteering with the YMCA because it empowers them as leaders….and it teaches them how we are so much more alike than we are different.  Students literally buzz for days or weeks after volunteering with the Y.
