Erin Diestler, Day Camp Director
Hello! My name is Erin Diestler and I will be the Camp Director at Rite-Hite this summer. I started working at the YMCA in 2016 and have filled various roles from a Camp Counselor to Camp Director.
I fell in love with working in childcare and the Y from the moment I stepped on the big fields at Rite-Hite. I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing sports, taking field trips, and spending as much one-on-one time with campers as I can.
Fun Facts:
- I lived in The Bahamas for 15 months.
- I worked for the Milwaukee Bucks for 5 years and have a Masters' Degree in Sport Management.
- I love dogs! I rescued a puppy from the island I lived on in The Bahamas and brought him back with me to live in the snow instead of the sand.
- When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with friends and family, watching any Wisconsin sports team, and probably enjoying some cheese curds or chips and guac.

STEAM Camp (Ages 7-12)
At our “Science Café”, campers ages 7-12 will gain an appreciation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math by experiencing how they're intertwined. Activities are designed to promote critical thinking skills and teamwork. Hands-on experiences like building structures and machines and an introduction to 3D printing will certainly inspire our campers.
